this morning, Tommie was flipping through channels trying to find another house flipping show. She ended up on TCTV with a video of two older men banging large gongs meditatively. They h ad a bunch of metal bowls laid out on a table in front of them too. Tommie turned up the sound and said, “i wanna hear them play the bowls.” Then we just kinda sat there silently, watching these two bald guys in hawaiian shirts rocking gently and rubbing bowls in odd, slow harmony. It finished and switched immediately to a npr-dubbed readerboard. Tommie said, “They were just such pure tones,” and then we went on with our day.
